Admission via Transition Test for University Admission - PDT

The traditional admission process to the first year of the study programs offered by the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María is done annually through the National Admission Process for the Universities affiliated to the Council of Rectors.

General Application Requirements

a) Maximum number of applications and order of preference

There are no limitations on the maximum number of applications, nor restrictions on the order of preference to Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria.

b) University Transition Test Average Score:

Minimum Application

All students who obtained an average score equal to or higher than 450 points in the Reading Comprehension and Mathematics tests may apply for the vacancies offered by the USM through the 2021 National Admission Process.

c) University Transition Test Average Score: Minimum Application

All students who obtained an average score equal to or higher than 450 points in the Reading Comprehension and Mathematics tests may apply for the vacancies offered by the USM through the 2021 National Admission Process.

d) Optional Tests

In order to apply to Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, it is a requirement to have taken at least one of the optional tests (Science or History and Social Sciences). If both tests are taken, the one in which the applicant obtained the highest score will be considered.

e) Restrictions

Students who have been eliminated from Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María are not eligible to apply

The following weightings are valid for the study programs of Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria according to the campus and location where they are taught. This data corresponds to the 2021 Admission Process. The final information is published in  www.demre.cl

Some Technical University study programs at the Viña del Mar Campus have a mixed admission, i.e., admission via the Transition Test for University Admission and Direct Admission.

The Technical University study programs at the Concepcion Campus only have Direct Admission.
