University Technician in Electricity

Education

Through his/her training process, the University Technician in Electricity of the Universidad Tecnica Federico Santa Maria develops a capacity for analysis and a logical thinking structure that promotes the formulation and approach of solutions related to his/her specialty. The theoretical development of concepts, laws, theorems and the realization of practical activities, workshops and laboratories of this study program are integrated as elements of the same learning that allows a quick assimilation regarding the operation and behavior of devices, equipment and electrical systems, achieving capabilities to project electrical installations in low voltage up to 500 [kW], in addition to direct, execute, maintain and control electrical systems of medium and low voltage. The training process, personal characteristics and their inclusion in the dynamics of technical development, converge to form a professional of technological change, with an attitude of leadership and initiative to propose innovative and creative solutions. As part of the training process, the student facing the industrial practice achieves a relevant approach to the reality of his/her future labor, where attributes such as: initiative, effective communication, collaborative work, responsibility, adaptability and entrepreneurship are challenges to be strengthened with this activity, which are projected in his/her personal and professional field.
