The following document provides a complete report on the work of our University, detailing the main events and processes that marked the development of the USM during 2019. Through an exhaustive analysis, we review the status of the different areas that make up our development and the processes involved in achieving the different objectives we set as a University.
2019 was an important year for the process of formulating the 2020-2024 UTFSM Strategic Plan, which, through different activities, called for the participation of a large part of our university community The restructuring of the Head Office of Research and Graduate Studies, which gave rise to the Head Office of Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship; the strengthening of the work of the Office of Online Education; the creation of the study program of Bachelor in Astrophysics and the extension of existing careers to Santiago and Concepción; the process of updating the university technical careers, aligning their curriculum to the National Qualifications Framework and international standards; among other milestones and initiatives, stand out.
